Singapore Marathon: Another New Course Record
World Champion Luke Kibet won Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2008 in record time of 2:13:03 on the same day as Ethopian Yemane Tsegai Adhane set the new best for Macau Marathon. Johnstone Chepkwony and Amos Matui completed the Kenyan triple-victory. Kenyan runners also dominated the Half Marathon with Benjamin Kiplimo Meto (1:08:02) and the women's full Marathon race (Edith Masai, 2:34:18). Suzy Walsham (1:17:45) and Lucie Hardiman (1:24:45) secured an Australian double in the women's half distance.

Macau Marathon: New Course Record
In a new course record of 2:15:06, Yemane Tsegai Adhane won the Macau Galaxy Entertainment International Marathon 2008. The Half Marathon distance was won by Chan Kit Chan in 1:17:45, a time 10 minutes slower than the winner of last week's UNICEF Charity Run for Children 2008.
